The Hangover Movie Review In 10 Words

Its Funny Go See It Or Die Because You're A Idiot

*but seriously it is the funniest movie Ive seen this year and probably in a while laughed throughout seriously contemplating going again to see it and I was completely wrong saying that they showed all the funny bits on the trailer*

Star Trek Movie Review

So first review in a long time on here. Couldn't come up with something better than reviewing one of the most unexpected good movies Ive seen ever. Saw Star Trek the other day and quickly became a fan of the franchise. Ive never seen a minute of the TV show and everything I knew about the franchise was well basically just William Shatner and millions of nerd fanboys.

So with that said I headed into a blockbuster with no previous knowledge. Somewhat like I did with Transformers (didn't really think that was great). Unlike most blockbuster movies there are always cheesey scenes that take you out of the experience. You know like the bad/good guy lighting a match and walking away and in the background you see some major explosion. Well none of that shit in here. This movie starts from the ground up and keeps a perfect balance between action and drama.

Much credit must go out to JJ Abrams and the Bad Robot crew. They definitely have shown their Lost skills on this. Whether its the great orchestra giving the soundtrack or its the almost perfect casting of children portraying the older Spock and Kirk. The acting from all of the cast is pretty good. I mean as good as it will get for a Star Trek film. On top of that I think the way they cast is perfect because there really isnt one big star that takes you out of the whole movie. I didn't even know Eric Bana was the bad guy until I went on IMDB.

A couple of the bad things about the movie were the blatant product placement. Nokia and Budweiser are pathetic. Still in this day your used to product placement in big movies. God watching the Transformers 2 trailer was like a Chevy commercial.

So dont want to give much away but I highly recommend you go see this at the movies (needs a big screen) even if you've never seen the series like me. Have a feeling this will be the first of many Star Trek movies but at least this franchise is actually watchable unlike others.

Taken Movie Review

Yes I know its been out for a while but tonight finally got around to check it out. Fucking awesome cheesy action movie. Definitely recommend seeing it. Great fight sequences. Liam Neeson is great and kicks and ass throughout the movie. Story was pretty good a bit spotty but overall good. Plus you dont watch this movie for the story. Im quite pumped about the movie. Makes me want to have a kid have her kidnapped and see if I can kick ass to get her back. Famke Jansen is in it so that is a reason right there to watch. This review is really bad and is based solely on the fact that I want to beat some random Albanian female traffickers ass.

The Wackness Movie Review

Holy crap! What a fucking movie. I love it although Ill say it now that its probably not for anyone not from the NYC area that grew up in the 90s. Filled with great actors, great music, and a great story its hard not to like it! Ben Kingsley is hilarious in it and Famke Janssen is so sexy and so is her daughter Olivia Thirlby. The two fresh faces (Im assuming as I havent seen them in anything else) in Josh Peck and Olivia Thrilby carry the Wackness over the more experienced actors. The only problem I had was at the end of the movie where Luke is at the NJ Transit station and one of the trains goes by.....a new one ....definitely not one from the 90s.

Cocaine Cowboys Review

One of the more interesting documentaries Ive ever seen. All about the cocaine trade in Miami from basically the 60s til the early 90s. Eye opening accounts of everything. Amazing the money that was made and funneled intro developments. It features interviews with some of the key players in the Miami coke industry at the time and here is one of the amazing things....only one of the people interviewed is in Jail! What I couldnt stop wondering is how much money the transportation guys have still that hadnt been seized. It seems that they are still living comfortably so its very intriguing. This is a must watch movie! Doesn't pull punches or holds back information to protect others its great!

Justice : A Cross The Universe Review

I dont really know what to say, this documentary has just left me speechless. Im not sure if I like it, love it or hate it. Its basically a hour of 2008 DJs meet 80's hair band rockstars. I kept saying during the movie not be cynical but I dont know they all kind of rub me the wrong way and seem quite weird to me. I do like how they basically had the attitude where "we are lucky to be here and dont give a shit about anything anymore because me made it" but still some shit in the movie is a bit too weird for me. See I cant even write the "review" about it because Im still so confused about the movie. The high point to me was Busy P. I love that guy. Other than that the tough guy Bouchard comes off as some maniac and sorry my friend pull that piece out again and Ill shoot your ass for being retarded. I do like the way it was filmed and how it jumps around makes it feel very amateur but professional if that makes any sense. There are many many parts in the movie that made me laugh my ass off mostly because it was a joke that was not planted purposely, especially them meeting Anthony Keidis and just their overall dealings with fans and Americans. In a confused conclusion I definitely suggest you pick this up on DVD if not for the DVD itself but for the live set CD that comes with it. So I guess if Im recommending it its worth watching....so there ya go.
