I Just Lost My Career

The Playoffs Are Over

The Penguins won in 7 YES and the Lakers won in 5 BOO. It was pretty much inevitable that the Lakers would win as I predicted. They actually played to their potential the whole series which wasnt the case the entire playoffs leading people to believe the Magic had a chance. As for the Penguins it was it was great to see Crosby capture a Stanley Cup (as well as Malkin). 2 hot shots that really can lead the NHL back to glory or maybe thats too optimistic. Whatever as long as the Red Wings lose.

Stanley Cup Finals

Wow so I would've liked to come on here and predict the winner but they played back to back games this weekend and with the Red Wings up I think its too late for predictions. Especially since I was going to pick the Penguins. Oh Well at least on got my conference finals correct :
Red Wings in 5 (Red Wings won in 5)
Penguins in 6 (Penguins won in 4)
So my prediction was going to be Penguins in 7 and fuck it Ill say it again.
Penguins in 7.
Losses all credibility.

Two Words Evgeni Malkin
If you think those two words are some crazy gibberish. Well yes it is he is Russian haha but no he is one of the best players in the NHL and combined with Sidney Crosby my only hope to crush those douche bags the Red Wings. Canada ignore this post as you actually know whats going on in Hockey.

NHL Playoffs Conference Finals

So I must say I fucked up the East for sure. The Bruins lost in 7 as did the Capitals. Atleast I got the West Semi's correct!
Semifinals East :
Bruins in 6
Capitals in 7
Semifinals West :
Red Wings in 5
Blackhawks in 7
Now onto the conference finals we go! They started yesterday officially with the Red Wings beating the Blackhawks. Good thing Im picking them. Just like last night the Red Wings just have too "much" experience, talent, whatever they just are better than the young Blackhawks. I think Chicago may get a win at home or two but:
West Finals:
Red Wings in 5
Out in the East both teams are coming off hard battles. Penguins have a ton of talent on their team and I think they will get over their series quicker than the Hurricanes can. The 'canes had a very physical series with the Bruins so I think they will be tired and I also think the Penguins create mis-matches.
East Finals :
Penguins in 6
Penguins-Red Wings rematch setting up? I hope so. Go Cindy Crosby

NHL Playoffs Semi Finals

Quick update of the playoffs. Very exciting end to the playoffs with the Devils getting pwned last night.
Here were my predictions for the first round:
First Round East:
Bruins over Canadiens in 6 (Bruins won in 4)
Capitals over Rangers in 5 (Caps won in 7)
Hurricanes over Devils in 7 (Hurricanes won in 7)
Penguins over Flyers in 6 (Penguins won in 6)
First Round West:
Sharks over Ducks in 7 (Ducks won in 6)
Red Wings over Blue Jackets in 4 (Red Wings won in 4)
Canucks over Blues in 7 (Canucks won in 4)
Blackhawks over Flames in 6 (Blackhawks won in 6)
How about that shit. Every single won besides the Ducks correct and I even said the Ducks could lose that series! Feeling pretty good and smart going into the semis:
Semifinals East :
Bruins in 6
Capitals in 7
Semifinals West :
Red Wings in 5
Blackhawks in 7
Really hard to predict these. I love the Bruins this year and I think they can take care of the resurgent Canes. Caps Penguins is a toss up. Definitely going 7 and probably many multiple OT games. As for the West I think the Red Wings are in cruise control to the Stanley Cup Finals. They have enough to see off the Ducks in 5 possibly 6. Blackhawks are my team this year and will have to come through via youth in this series. This is my only gamble since the Canucks looked so dominate/Blues fell over and died.
Anyways more great hockey w00t.

NHL Playoffs

The NHL Playoffs start tonight. Im pretty much talking to you Canada as you wouldn't know this leaving in the USA. I love playoff hockey. The long overtimes the tension the atmosphere in the stands. Its great. Sadly though my Islanders were the worst team in the league. We won our Stanley Cup last night by getting the 1st pick in the draft. Here are the first round predictions by Aldostradomos:
First Round East:
Bruins over Canadiens in 6
Capitals over Rangers in 5
Hurricanes over Devils in 7
Penguins over Flyers in 6
First Round West:
Sharks over Ducks in 7
Red Wings over Blue Jackets in 4
Canucks over Blues in 7
Blackhawks over Flames in 6
I definitely think that the Sharks Ducks series will be the best. The Ducks are quite a good team for a 8 seed and 50 win regular season teams and the Sharks in general struggle in the playoffs. In the East I think all will be close games especially in the Caps Rangers series. I have the Caps in 5 because I think they will get the lucky breaks. Series could easily go 7 but I cant see the Rangers knocking them out. Hurricanes are coming together at just the right time and could catch the Devils but this series will go long expect OT's. Redwings should have no problem against the Blue Jackets even without Draper for the first 2 games.

NHL Skills : Hardest Shot / Zdeno Chara Isn't Human
I decided to post the whole thing because probably like everyone I missed this Saturday night. I heard about Chara breaking the record and really needed to see it and you should too. 105 mph thats serious and shows you why Hockey is such a great and hard sport that really needs a new marketing director and to fold some of their teams.
Ovechkin Is God
Ovechkin > Anyone in the NHL then Malkin > Crosby. Sid the kid isnt as good as the russians sorry Canada.

Hockey Needs To Make This Permanent

Thats the Winter Classic which takes place on Jan 1st in a outdoor setting. They really should do this more often as the sport has become well more of a hobby with fans now. So lets make this permanent and take teams away from tropical places, Tampa Bay, Florida, Phoenix, WTF. Please more Canadian teams and more places where Hockey is popular...North East north midwest??!!! Anyways the cocksuckers that are the Red Wings beat my second favorite team in the Blackhawks 6-4 at a sold out Wrigley Field (where Baseball's Chicago Cubs play).

Sakic Owned By Snowblower

[Sakic] has broken three fingers in a snow blower accident and will be out at least three months.
The Avalanche say Sakic underwent surgery Tuesday night for the broken fingers and tendon damage. The team says he’s expected to make a full recovery.
The snow blower accident occurred at Sakic’s home Tuesday afternoon, but the team hasn’t given any details.
Wow that sucks. I wont make fun of Sakic because I think he is one of the best players ever to play the game yet gets no recognition for it. Sakic and Forsberg in their prime were the best duo since Messier and Gretzky.

Sloppy Seconds

Sean Avery is a NHL player for the Dallas Stars who has dated numerous hot chicks from Rachel Hunter to the pictured above Elisha Cuthbert. Well it turns out he had a opinion on Elisha going on to date two more hockey players (hockey whore!):
Reporters were waiting to speak with Avery about disparaging remarks he’d made last month about Flames star Jarome Iginla when Avery walked over to the group and asked if there was a camera present. When told there was, he said, “I’m just going to say one thing.”
“I’m really happy to be back in Calgary; I love Canada,” he said. “I just want to comment on how it’s become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don’t know what that’s about, but enjoy the game tonight.” He then walked out of the locker room.
Ha this guy is awesome. I hated him as a Ranger being a Islanders fan but I really do enjoy him because he is real no phony shit. Sadly though the retards that ruined I mean run the NHL have suspended him for saying this. Seriously Gary Betman is going to catch feelings over Jack Bauers daughters purity.
