The Playoffs Are Over

The Penguins won in 7 YES and the Lakers won in 5 BOO. It was pretty much inevitable that the Lakers would win as I predicted. They actually played to their potential the whole series which wasnt the case the entire playoffs leading people to believe the Magic had a chance. As for the Penguins it was it was great to see Crosby capture a Stanley Cup (as well as Malkin). 2 hot shots that really can lead the NHL back to glory or maybe thats too optimistic. Whatever as long as the Red Wings lose.

Stanley Cup Finals

Wow so I would've liked to come on here and predict the winner but they played back to back games this weekend and with the Red Wings up I think its too late for predictions. Especially since I was going to pick the Penguins. Oh Well at least on got my conference finals correct :

Red Wings in 5 (Red Wings won in 5)

Penguins in 6 (Penguins won in 4)

So my prediction was going to be Penguins in 7 and fuck it Ill say it again.

Penguins in 7.

Losses all credibility.

NHL Playoffs Conference Finals

So I must say I fucked up the East for sure. The Bruins lost in 7 as did the Capitals. Atleast I got the West Semi's correct!

Semifinals East :
Bruins in 6
Capitals in 7

Semifinals West :
Red Wings in 5
Blackhawks in 7

Now onto the conference finals we go! They started yesterday officially with the Red Wings beating the Blackhawks. Good thing Im picking them. Just like last night the Red Wings just have too "much" experience, talent, whatever they just are better than the young Blackhawks. I think Chicago may get a win at home or two but:

West Finals:
Red Wings in 5

Out in the East both teams are coming off hard battles. Penguins have a ton of talent on their team and I think they will get over their series quicker than the Hurricanes can. The 'canes had a very physical series with the Bruins so I think they will be tired and I also think the Penguins create mis-matches.

East Finals :

Penguins in 6

Penguins-Red Wings rematch setting up? I hope so. Go Cindy Crosby

NHL Playoffs

The NHL Playoffs start tonight. Im pretty much talking to you Canada as you wouldn't know this leaving in the USA. I love playoff hockey. The long overtimes the tension the atmosphere in the stands. Its great. Sadly though my Islanders were the worst team in the league. We won our Stanley Cup last night by getting the 1st pick in the draft. Here are the first round predictions by Aldostradomos:

First Round East:
Bruins over Canadiens in 6
Capitals over Rangers in 5
Hurricanes over Devils in 7
Penguins over Flyers in 6

First Round West:
Sharks over Ducks in 7
Red Wings over Blue Jackets in 4
Canucks over Blues in 7
Blackhawks over Flames in 6

I definitely think that the Sharks Ducks series will be the best. The Ducks are quite a good team for a 8 seed and 50 win regular season teams and the Sharks in general struggle in the playoffs. In the East I think all will be close games especially in the Caps Rangers series. I have the Caps in 5 because I think they will get the lucky breaks. Series could easily go 7 but I cant see the Rangers knocking them out. Hurricanes are coming together at just the right time and could catch the Devils but this series will go long expect OT's. Redwings should have no problem against the Blue Jackets even without Draper for the first 2 games.

Hockey Needs To Make This Permanent

Thats the Winter Classic which takes place on Jan 1st in a outdoor setting. They really should do this more often as the sport has become well more of a hobby with fans now. So lets make this permanent and take teams away from tropical places, Tampa Bay, Florida, Phoenix, WTF. Please more Canadian teams and more places where Hockey is popular...North East north midwest??!!! Anyways the cocksuckers that are the Red Wings beat my second favorite team in the Blackhawks 6-4 at a sold out Wrigley Field (where Baseball's Chicago Cubs play).
