Check Out James May On The Moon

Not really sure when this documentary came out but its definitely worth a purchase on Itunes or to go look for via download. I wanted to watch because Im a big Top Gear fan and to me and most people James May is particularly boring despite his charm so to see him get his own documentary was kind of a scary thought. My worries were not feared within 20 minutes of this doc because I was hooked. Its a brilliant piece in which it tells the story of the Apollo missions as well as showing you what it took to become a astronaut and how far we have come technologically. So if you like James May, Space, or just have 90 minutes to kill check this out! The preview alone should do the trick.

Top Gear Space?

They've launched an original MINI off a giant snow-covered ski jump, nearly sent a Reliant Robin into orbit and now, the Top Gear crew may toy with space exploration again, except this time, they'll strap themselves inside before pulling the trigger. According to Will Whitehorn, president of Virgin Galactic, the BBC approached his company looking to launch Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond into space for a future Top Gear episode. Virgin hopes to send its first commercial flight into space before the end of next year.

You might think that stunts like this may fall by the wayside in the wake of the global financial crisis, but you'd apparently be wrong. According to Hammond, "Because of the hard times everyone is facing, we need to go ridiculous on Top Gear. We need faster cars and bigger stunts. Nobody can afford to go out and buy a car, so there is no real point in us reviewing them. We might as well concentrate on escapism and fantasy." We can hardly think of a bigger stunt, so it sounds like a perfect fit.

Honda Has Made The Car Of The Future

Another great Top Gear last night. I liked the Tesla review. I think that has enormous potential to be a great invention. The Honda Clarity is just amazing however. Definitely the future of the auto industry. Also nice to see Jay Leno make an appearance on TG.

DISAPPOINTING

I dont know why Im posting this as the lap was very boring but its a big deal so here ya go. The Bugatti Veyron finally went around the Top Gear track last night (so to speak) and was very disappointing. Unless you like wings helping the car break then you loved the lap as it was just dull and the car wasn't making any good noises to me. It finished at 1:18 something which made it fourth. So there you have it one of the most expensive and definitely the most powerful cars is now the 4th fastest car on the Top Gear track.
